Working with Loren has been one of the most transformative parts of my spiritual journey. I came into mentorship with so many interests but absolutely no idea how they fit together. Tarot, astrology, ritual, folk magic, spirit work, herbalism, I felt like I was constantly collecting information but never actually developing a practice.

Loren helped me slow down and go deeper. She challenged me to study, question where my beliefs came from and actually experience the work rather than just read about it.

Six months later, my practice feels completely different. More disciplined, more personal and much more like mine.

I’ve had A LOT of tarot readings and Loren’s was easily one of the best. Specific, insightful and zero generic fluff. I left with about ten pages of notes 😂.

I was incredibly nervous beforehand, but Loren immediately put me at ease. Some of the information she brought through was so personal that I still haven’t really processed it. There were tears, but there was so much laughter too. It felt incredibly human and strangely healing.

FINALLY. Someone taught me how to actually READ tarot instead of memorising 78 definitions. Something clicked during this workshop and I haven’t looked at my cards the same way since.

I originally signed up for three months and ended up continuing. That probably says everything.

Loren is an incredible teacher, but what I appreciate most is that she never tells you what to believe. She’ll give you books, historical context, different perspectives and probably another twelve things to research, then encourage you to make up your own mind.

My spirituality has become so much richer because of it.

This was EXACTLY what I needed. I had all the books, herbs, decks and tools but absolutely no consistency. Loren helped me understand that a meaningful practice doesn’t need to be elaborate. I’ve actually maintained a daily practice since taking this workshop.

Booked on a whim. Got absolutely read to filth by a deck of cardboard 😂. 10/10 would voluntarily do it again.

I had owned tarot cards for almost five years and still couldn’t read without reaching for the guidebook.

Loren completely changed the way I approached the cards. We looked at imagery, direction, colour, numbers, elements and how the cards interact with each other. Suddenly I wasn’t trying to remember definitions anymore. I was actually looking at what was happening in front of me.

That alone was worth the workshop.

There are details from my reading that I’m not comfortable sharing publicly because they’re incredibly personal. All I’ll say is that Loren gave me something I desperately needed after losing someone I loved. I’ll never forget that hour.

Mentorship with Loren is basically having someone lovingly ask, ‘But WHY do you believe that?’ until you realise half your spiritual practice came from TikTok 😂.

She has completely changed the way I research and practise.

Loren said something during my reading that made absolutely no sense at the time. Three weeks later it happened almost exactly as she described. I went back through my notes and just stared at them. I’ll definitely be booking again.

I appreciated how grounded this workshop was. Loren didn’t sensationalise spirit communication or make everything into a sign. A huge part of the class was discernment, questioning experiences and understanding the difference between intuition, interpretation and assumption. Easily one of the most responsible classes I’ve taken on this subject.

As a Scottish woman myself, I was SO happy to find someone teaching this without turning everything vaguely Scottish into ‘ancient Celtic witchcraft.’

The history was fascinating and Loren was very clear about what was documented, what came from folklore and what was modern interpretation. My reading list is now ridiculous.

Direct. Funny. Kind. RIDICULOUSLY accurate.

No doom predictions. No telling me my ex is my twin flame. Just an incredibly good tarot reader.

I thought this would basically be a workshop about setting up an altar. It was so much deeper than that.

Loren explained why ritual works as a symbolic language and how repetition, sensory experience, intention and correspondences can completely change the experience of magical practice. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for ritual.

I’ve rewritten this about five times because I honestly don’t know how to explain what happened.

Loren brought through something incredibly specific about my grandmother that meant absolutely nothing to her but meant EVERYTHING to me.

What I loved most was how quiet the whole experience was. There wasn’t a performance. There were pauses, laughter, tears and moments where Loren simply gave me space.

I walked away feeling lighter than I had in months.

Imagine having a slightly unhinged Scottish witchy professor who gives you homework, sends you down historical rabbit holes and occasionally tells you to stop buying books and actually PRACTISE.

That’s basically mentorship with Loren and I adore her for it.

I already read tarot professionally, so I wasn’t looking for another beginner course. This was exactly the depth I’d been missing.

We explored elemental relationships, astrology, planetary correspondences, Qabalah and the occult framework underlying the cards. Loren also encouraged us to challenge correspondences rather than simply memorise them.

It completely changed the depth of my professional readings.

This workshop was beautiful. Not morbid. Not frightening. Just incredibly honest.

Loren spoke about death, grief, ancestral remembrance and ritual in a way that made space for sadness without treating grief as something that needs to be fixed. I cried several times and somehow left feeling peaceful.

I found Loren when I was completely disconnected from my spiritual practice. I’d spent years jumping from one thing to another and constantly felt like everyone else knew something I didn’t.

Mentorship changed that.

We explored tarot, mythology, ritual, magical history and different spiritual traditions, but Loren never tried to turn me into a copy of her. If anything, she did the opposite. She constantly encouraged me to question her, find primary sources and pay attention to what I was actually experiencing.

There were weeks when our sessions were deeply spiritual and weeks when she basically told me I needed to stop researching and go outside 😂.

A year ago I would have described myself as someone interested in spirituality. Now I can honestly say I have a spiritual practice.

That difference means everything to me.
